The winner of the SHINE for Autism September 2018 Autism Hero Award is Da Vinci Ristorante Millom!
Da Vinci have been nominated by several of the parents on our page for their friendly and accommodating staff. They happily adjust their menu when requested, enabling autistic individuals and their families to enjoy their meal in a calm and inviting environment.

Sophie Gibson
The winner of the SHINE for Autism October 2018 Autism Hero Award is Sophie Gibson!
Sophie is one of the many brilliant TAs who work with our youngsters in local schools and they are all heroes. She has been doing astounding work this term helping a little boy Leo to transition into mainstream primary....he has made a happy positive start on his school journey thanks to Sophie. Outside school she does respite work with another family and also supports her nephew Tyler and his family. She is just amazing and our community is very lucky to have her support and skills.....thank you Sophie x

The winner of the SHINE for Autism November 2018 Autism Hero Award is Shara Elias!
Shara was nominated by Karen Bradley who said "Shara has been a brilliant support to Parker and has helped him whilst I haven't been here, in and out of hospital. She has also been a strength to Esmay and Parker supporting them at home in my absence. She is our angel".

The winners of the SHINE for Autism December 2018 Autism Hero Award are Laurie and Emma-Jayne Gribbin!
Many congratulations to Laurie and Emma-Jayne our Autism Heroes for December! They pulled together (& performed!) an amazing charity comedy night at The Plough on 28th December raising over £2000 for the SHINE group, and have even more planned for 2019 through their Lighthouse Events.
Congratulations both, what a team - you are both amazing!
